The 5-Minute AI Employee Setup Checklist

Use this before you ask AI for help. Turn a blank chat into a clearer assistant with a role, boundaries, and one useful first task.

1. Pick one role

Choose one job: weekly planning assistant, personal admin assistant, teacher helper, content helper, research assistant, or creative project organizer.

2. Define one job

Write the main outcome: “Help me plan my week,” “Turn notes into lesson ideas,” or “Draft beginner-friendly post ideas.”

3. Set three boundaries

Do not send, publish, buy, delete, or change anything without approval. Do not invent facts. Flag uncertainty.

4. Give one real task

Start small: organize a list, draft an outline, create a checklist, compare options, or summarize messy notes.

5. Review before using

Check for uncertainty, privacy risks, money/account/legal/safety concerns, and anything needing human judgment.
